John Ockerbloom is the Methanol Director of PCI - Ockerbloom & Company and a senior associate of the PCI Consulting Group. He began his professional career as a research assistant with the United States government before taking a post at a private engineering firm in the Northeast US. He later joined a London-based firm as the North American methanol & derivatives consultant. With over eighteen years of consulting experience, John is considered one of the leading authorities on the methanol and derivative markets. As Methanol Director, he has published the PCI - Ockerbloom Methanol & Derivatives Monthly Business Report for over sixteen years, as well as produced multi-client world methanol and derivatives supply/demand reports. John was an original founding member and has served on the board of the International Methanol Producers and Consumers Association (IMPCA). He has also organized and presided over two Latin American methanol conferences in conjunction with IMPCA, and given presentations all over the world. He has been a regular contributor to Stokes Engineering's FINDS publication for the past ten years, writing the quarterly review on methanol. PCI - Ockerbloom is one of five divisions of the PCI Consulting Group. Additional senior consultants, including petrochemical industry veteran Mr. Nelson E.
